Clearstep Explained
Clearstep is a treatment that incorporates a revolutionary ‘invisible brace’ which can be used to correct gaps or straighten crooked, overcrowded and overlapping teeth. Various types of Clearstep braces are available but for the majority clear, thin, medical grade plastic “positioners” will usually be the most suitable. The purpose of the brace’s positioners is to gradually and gently move the teeth from their present position to the more desirable position.
Clearstep – What to Expect
Initially, you will find the new Clearstep positioners feel tight – this is necessary and will only continue until your teeth start to move. The brace becomes looser as the positioners begin to start working: The Clearstep treatment usually consists of several stages – each stage requiring eight positioners to be worn for a two week period.
Clearstep braces are comfortable but easy to remove them, for eating and drinking or perhaps a social occasion. It is necessary to remove them to clean your teeth – brushing is usually enough to also clean the braces.
Because they can be removed many people do find Clearstep braces a lot easier to live with – in comparison to more traditional, fixed orthodontics.
